Change of Mode

I think that today I am supposed to be in listening mode. When you are approaching a marker or a road without any markers, it is important to stop, look and listen. (My elementary school days just reappeared for a second there!)

I am also aware of a favorite recent Ann Voskamp quote,

"When one consistently chooses cyberspace over holy space - life becomes a hollow place."

So today will be a quiet listening day, hope yours is a good one!

  1. Therefore you probably won't see this comment...but I pray that you hear God's voice gently whispering to you that He is in control...have no fear...just trust and believe and all will be well.

  2. It reminds me of Genesis 31--Jacob piling stones as a pillar. A 'mizpah.' A marker in the wilderness, to remind him and Laban of what has gone on between them. Every time they see the marker they remember. That's what you're doing. That's what your anniversary is. A Mizaph. The witness heap, as my Bible tells me in its footnotes. What a lovely way to put it too.

  5. It's so amazing what you hear when you do listen for Him in the midst of things!
