Where You Can Tell that I Don't Get Out Much

I made a confession to my husband this week that startled him. Yay for being able to shock the man you've lived with for over 34 years!! I supposed it's only fair since he shocked me a few months ago when he did this

We were in the car after loading groceries into the trunk and heading home. He was kind of smiling about how much I like to be the one to put the empty grocery cart back in the Cart Return Area....

Me: Bet you don't know why I like to return the cart.

Him: Of course I do, you love following the rules and doing the right thing.

Me: Actually it's the opposite of what you think.

Him: So why do you like returning the cart so much?

Me: I love the feeling of crashing it as hard as I can into the space.

Him: You like the violence of it?

Me: Yep and the loud freedom of it.

Him: Well, within a very controlled area.

Me: Yeah I guess so. Freedom within a totally controlled environment. (Kinda like a Dog Park)

I'm thinking that I may still have some hidden anger issues in here somewhere. Ha!

  1. Love it. I must admit I like pushing the cart towards the return place to see if I can get there in one push from far away. LOL

  2. I'd never thought of the crashing sound, but now that you mention it, it could be quite therapeutic. Hidden anger issues, LOL.

  3. Hmmm, do you want to talk about this? LOL! That was a good one. Never would have guessed your response. But it's good. Real good. Wish I'd thought of that.

  4. I'm 48 years old and I still ride the shopping carts across the parking lot as fast as I can get it going. Drive's my wife crazy but it's freeing.

  5. rebellious ex rule follower who still likes to follow the rules...with a bang! Love it!

  6. Does the crashing of the cart bother Layla? Or do you leave her at home when you go shopping?

And I love the new pic of Writer Son and Sassy Bride. Great photos in the side bar!

  7. I didn't return a cart to the cart corral once and my right rear view mirror got hit by it as I backed out of the parking place. It cost me $250.00 out of my savings to get it fixed. Needless to say, I return the cart.
