Picture-Heavy Update of Life in Susieland

My Easter Rose is keeping company with my Christmas Poinsettia.

Farmer Hubs is trying out the Topsy Turvy system for tomatoes
along with planting in the ground like a normal person this year.

Layla had a tough morning today but I think she has forgiven me.
I slept in with earplugs and did not hear that she needed to "go". So when I opened her crate
she ran like crazy for the back door while I discovered a messy accident in her crate. Then I saw that she has a sore spot on her nose from trying to get out of the crate, poor baby. I am so sorry baby girl!

My mornings begin here at the counter with breakfast and Facebook and coffee, of course.
I eat and browse while standing and stretching because I know I will be sitting a lot later on.

My current writing station is the couch these days. It is comfy and Layla can join me for a cuddle
and distraction. My new client is The Pet Supply Company and I am enjoying the challenge
of writing about livestock supplies as I provide the category introductions and I will be adding some fun blogs to the site on any animal subjects I want!
I am also working on a book about my encounters with God and how He convinced me that I am loved.

So that's the latest happenings here in Susieland. What is going on in your land?

  1. I love Layla. Kiss her nose for me. What is it about their darn fur-faces? I'm a mess for dogs.

How fun to get a snapshot of your writing life, Susie. Thanks for sharing!

    1. Yeah, our doggies can really capture our hearts. I felt so awful! But pets are quick to forgive, especially dogs, not sure about felines.

  2. Sounds like a pretty exciting life! Poor Layla...give her an extra doggie treat today.
My life is pretty calm at the moment. Got my taxes done today! That was so much fun. We only owed $12.00 this year! I am actually happy about that, as last year was much worse. Not that we make so much money, but we just don't have enough deductions to help us out anymore. Something's gotta give...
I love your yellow rose and poinsettias....and I can't wait to see Farmer Curt's tomatoes this year! :)

    1. Yes, it works ok. But I have to be careful and intentional about getting up and not staying in the same position too long or I get stiff. Sound about 90 huh? Ha!

  7. Susie:
Thank you for sharing your pics with us. I am awestruck that you can have Poinsettias still blooming. I see you have a nice place for them by a window.

    1. I know! I am surprised too. They usually die long before this. Maybe because I am home now rather than working, they are getting better care and attention. I don't know but i am still enjoying them. Hubs bought me 3 plants and two are still looking good.
